This is the first part of the journey and experience writing serial training on Peace Building organized by the Mindanao Peacebuilding Institute, in the city of Davao, southern Philippines, on May 14 up to June 1st, 2012.
The first day of training begins with the opening ceremony. Participants gathered at the Sampaguita Hall. They sat in chairs that are grouped according to their respective countries of origin. Appearance of Kaliwat Theatre enliven the atmosphere through music and dance. The event begins with a prayer of three religions: Islam, Buddhism, and Catholicism. Followed by a welcome speech. The most colorful event is the parade participants. Each participant walked on stage in accordance with their country. After all being on stage, they then took a picture together.
